Garry Bush, 35, received his nickname, The Whacker in 1999, and it has stuck with him ever since. Garry, who won the Moscow Open in 2002 and was Europe's Player of the Year in 2000, is again listed among the top ranked European players in 2004.
Garry learned to play poker at school and improved his skills through years of experience. Previously employed as a sales manager, Garry has been playing poker professionally for eight years. His favorite poker game is 7 Card Stud.
Garry's biggest poker moment was when he finished in 2nd place in the $3,000 Hold'em event at the 2004 World Series of Poker. Garry fondly recalls making quads against Phil Hellmuth in Las Vegas.
Garry advises new poker players: "Never play outside your financial limits." His tip to experienced players is: "Study everyone's play at the table before getting involved."
Garry first played online poker three years ago. The advantages of playing online, Garry says, are that you can play far more hands and many tables simultaneously. "There are no dealer mistakes online," Garry adds.
Garry's goal is to win three WSOP Bracelets. In order to further develop his skills in order to achieve that goal, you can frequently find Garry playing online at Noble Poker.
Garry lives in the north of London with his wife, Elena, and his son, Louis.
